Brilliant!
For maximum impact your prints need to be printed on to a high gloss paper.
The dynamic range in gloss papers is the highest meaning blacks are blacker, and highlights appear brighter. This is achieved by the gloss coating, which reflects all light so the underlying image has depth.
For long term protection all gloss prints should be mounted under glass or acrylic as gloss prints mark easily. Time can also dull the surface. When mounted correctly your prints will look brilliant. Gloss is not traditionally used for portraits although a very large portrait with lots of detail will look excellent as a mounted gloss print.
Metallic reflective prints are new to pigment printing, but ‘WOW’ what a difference they make! Any print with shiny subjects (like a highly polished car) or metallic pieces (like the Sydney Harbour Bridge) print exceptionally well with a metallic paper.
Acrylic mounted prints are made using the metallic gloss paper as it forms a perfect bond with the acrylic for a seamless high gloss finish.
