Brochures can be made by printing onto A4 and A3 paper, folding and stapling.
Due to the variations available it is not possible to define prices simply. If you need to produce a brochure, it is vital to contact the printing house to make sure you meet the needs of their software and hardware. Simply rolling up with a file done in 'home publisher' is both inadequate and unprofessional.
A brochure is created typically by the following method:
1) All artwork is created professionally by a qualified designer.
2) Proofs are printed to check for bleed, tone, balance and correctness.
3) The artwork is laid out in a 'ready to print' format like Pdf.
4) The file is printed by the appropriate machine to produce the brochure.
Appropriate machines include laser printers and offset printers. For a discussion on the difference, please contact your local printer, or do some research on the web.
If a brochure is like a booklet or magazine, it can be simply made using our booklet function on our laser. A pdf is required with all the pages saved as single pages only. Imposting is not necessary as it is automatic. Remember, that all magazines have sheets of paper with 4 pages on each.
Limitations include:
Size must be A4 folded, or A5 folded (smaller sizes can be cut from these sizes).
Colour and black pages can be mixed, but the cost will probably be for full colour.
All documents must be print ready, as incorrect information, colour or text must be paid for.
A maximum count of 60 pages on 80gsm for folding and stapling. Larger numbers can be post stapled.
Wraparound covers must be printed separately and added later.
